I was recently working with a client who needed some new UI elements for a game they were working on, and these were some of my very first design explorations. I created a bunch of these things, basically trying to find a design style that they liked (as well as fitting well into their current design). While the client did like this style, we ultimately chose one of the different versions that I created.
These dials and gauges are designed to be glowing blue LCD elements which show status and levels at different points during the game. There are circular analog dials, along with some linear bar graphs – all of which are fully editable in Photoshop and consist of vector shapes for maximum scalability.
By the way, the font I used for this comp was BigNoodleTitling – which can be downloaded for free from a plethora of free font websites around the web.
