Sometimes if something sits in my archives long enough, it turns into something that it was never intended to be. Case in point: these unfinished mobile UI screens. Would it shock you if I told you that these started out as preliminary concepts for a website way back in 2002? It’s amazing to think what web standards from back then have evolved to become the mobile UI standard of today.
I have to warn you. These PSD source files are extremely sloppy. I was under a tight deadline when I created these screens, and all I was doing was trying to find a design style for the site I was working on. These obviously never made it beyond this point, but I think there are enough useful bits in them to turn them into a nice mobile app if you were so inclined. The blue colors are soft and muted, and the background photos were images that I shot myself – so feel free to use them without worry of licensing issues.
