I’ll be the first to admit that this isn’t the most exciting presentation template I’ve ever created, but I’m uploading it anyway in hopes that someone will find a good use for it. Don’t get me wrong – I think that city themes like this are perfectly valid, but the design of the cover slide is definitely on the “safe” side of things.
I took that photo during my first trip to Asia back in 2002, and it pretty much sums up what I remember about Hong Kong to this day: fog! Yeah, I didnt see much of the sun during my few days there, but I loved the city and I still consider it my favorite in all the world.
Anyway, the cover slide features a gloomy photo of the Hong Kong skyline fit inside of a rectangular frame over a white background. To add just a bit more visual interest, I added a slight glossy reflection to it which helps add a bit of sparkle to an otherwise dark image. A spot for your corporate logo has been reserved in the upper left of that image, but you could definitely utilize some of the white space above and below if you need the room (or you think that the cover slide is too plain). You might find it interesting to know that I started out with a version of this without that white frame – and it didn’t work at all. It was way too dark!
I’ve got other photos of Hong Kong from that trip, but they were shot with a low-quality digital camera (of typical 2002 standards) and they will require a lot of work to clean up. If I can manage to do that, I’ll create more of these Hong Kong themed PowerPoint templates. Fingers crossed…
