PowerPoint template for travel and tourism (featuring the Golden Gate Bridge)

I’m having a lot of fun digging through my old photo archives trying to find photos that would work well in PowerPoint themes, and I’ve identified a bunch already that I think are going to work nicely. The most interesting part about it is that I’m finding useful photos that I took many years ago – photos that I never would have thought about using for anything.

The photo on the cover slide of this template is one that I took during a weekend road trip to San Francisco in early 2005. Back then, I never really tried to take artistic pictures of anything…I just took a few snapshots of the places I travelled to and then archived the photos away when I returned home (often not looking at them again for years). But now that it’s been 13 years, it’s fun to look back at the snapshots from this trip, and I kind of like the way this photo of the Golden Gate Bridge turned out. Perfect for a San Francisco theme, right?

That’s one of the great things about living in California. It’s not for everybody, but there is some amazing scenery in this state which can make for great backdrops for digital projects such as this. My Winter Scene template was shot in California too – and I’ve got a lot more like these planned if there is enough interest.

Anyway, the color scheme is very neutral and light – and it should be noted that the red accent color that I used in the table and company logo tag was matched to the Golden Gate Bridge. That helps tie everything together, but you could use other types of colors in this muted style if you’d like.
